day four

Athens was wonderful.  Endless thanks to Panos, Yanni, Yanni 2/Knot Gallery, Katherina, Katherina 2, Dmitri, Alexandros, Leo, and everyone else we met.  You guys are the greatest.

day one

I'm in Athens, I've been awake for around 32 hours and I'm starting to feel pretty weird.  We just got into the Ouzo, Sam's arrival is 12 hours earlier than expected and we need to pick him up in an hour.  Panos & Yanni met me at the airport this evening and we immediately went up a mountain on the north side to hang out and drink some Tsipouro, narrowly avoiding cars, motorcycles, taxis, bicycles, pedestrians, baby carriages, etc, in our path, every 10 feet, consistently, by swerving, braking and gesturing/cussing profusely.  The roof above Yanni's apartment views the main cemetery, the Acropolis, and the Aegean sea, and I keep getting whiffs of jasmine, orange blossoms, and some mysterious purple-red flower that only comes out at night.  These guys are great.  I like it here.

guess what?  tomorrow morning I'll be flying over the Atlantic to start a tour in Athens, Greece.
